Move Over Guys : girls desire Sports Jerseys Too
For generations, there’s been a perception that men have an exclusive franchise on sports fandom. We see advertising photos of blokes sitting at home in front of their television sets, rooting on their favorite groups, or sitting in sports bars with their eyes trained on the telly sets over the bar. Well, times have moved on. Women are sports fans, too, and female sports fans are quite as excited about their favorite NFL, MLB, NHL, and NBA groups as men. Traditionally, though, ladies who wanted jerseys have been forced to accept oversize men’s sizes and cuts. The result? A good way from a fashion statement. Happily for female fans, NFL, MLB, NHL, and NBA groups have begun to sit up straight and take some notice, spotting that ladies represent a significant portion of their fan bases. They have also discovered that women are pining after jerseys that reflect women’s passion for sports, but that also have a female twist.
Increasingly, female sports fans are finding that there are several jerseys made particularly with girls under consideration. Today, a girl can find a pink jersey, a colourful jersey, a fashion jersey, or a glitter jersey from almost any team in the NFL, MLB, NHL, and NBA. Breaking out from the pack in women’s sports clothing is actress Alyssa Milano, famous for her role in the WB’s ‘Charmed ‘ and for her love of baseball. Not only will Alyssa Milano have season tickets to the los angeles Dodgers, but she has also got her own MLB blog.
Also, she’s gone to an increased level and has made a line of women’s MLB clothing. Called ‘touch, ‘ her line features fan wear that exudes feminineness.
The near track back features criss-cross spaghetti straps that give the top its female appeal. Her baseball jerseys are convention with a twist : the white body and colored three / 4-length sleeves might be Oldschool, but the rouching detail at the hem on the side seam is solely modern. Alyssa Milano’s spaghetti top features tie strings at the shoulders, while her short-sleeved hoodie features a zip, contrast stitching, and the team brand near to the bottom left hemline. There’s small question that women’s fashion sense is making a dash in the sports world.
